Replacing a Display with Touch Screen

Replacing the display is easily done if the front bezel is removed from the tester. Unlatch the display ribbon cable from the top center of the display. Two screws on the bottom of the bezel and one in the top right corner will allow the bezel to be removed for service.

Remove the display communication board

With the display removed unlatch both ribbon cables from the back of the display (as shown)

USE CAUTION SLIDING THE CONNECTOR OPEN

Remove the display controller board

Lay the controller board on top of the new display glass, allow the display ribbon through the hole in the center of the controller board. Re-insert the ribbons in place and slide the connector closed to lock them in place.

Re-install the display with short spacers between the display and controller, and long spacers between controller and communication boards.
