The VariPump system uses a positive displacement valveless metering pump manufactured by FMI or our own line of easy to clean Split Body pumps.This proven technology has been in use for decades with much success. It has also proven very reliable in many different industries. In the past volume is adjusted by multiples of a fixed stroke or adjusted manually with a dial.
We have taken this a step farther and incorporated a 2nd stepper motor using a fine pitch lead screw to do the adjustment of the stroke. Our onboard microprocessor controls the 2 motors providing an accurate and repeatable shot every time. Our patent pending technology gives the user adjustability and process control never offered before.
Variable
Shot: This is accomplished through the synchronized use of the two stepper motors.
One
motor adjusts the shot volume by changing the angle
of the pump head. Effectively lengthening or shortening the stroke
of the pump. More angle = more stroke and a larger shot. Less angle = less stroke and a smaller shot.
The
second motor controls the dispense speed
and frequency of the shot. One revolution = one shot. |
